New Glenridge Middle School has been re-scheduled for bid and CAM Construction is requesting your firm’s participation. Please note that new bid documents have been issued and should be utilized in formulating your proposal. All current bid documents are posted in CAM’s Plan Room via, BuildingConnected, with all updates posted accordingly.
The project consists of the construction of a 169,000 sqft, 1200 student new Middle School with associated site work and improvements located in the Glenridge Community Park. The sitework shall be in collaboration with Maryland National Park and Planning Commission. Site development will consist of a new school building and associated facilities including multipurpose play field, retaining walls, paved roadways and parking lots, paved play areas, and stormwater management (SWM) facilities.  Existing site improvements will be demolished during the course of the new construction.
The project is scheduled to achieve a LEED Silver Certification and all bidders will be required to follow all requirements to obtain LEED credits as specified to meet the goal in their respective trade.
MBE Participation and Procedures:
MDOT certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. See section 00453 “Minority Business Enterprise Procedures for State Funded Public School Construction Projects” and the associated forms located in the Project Manual Volume 1.
The project has an overall MBE participation goal of 30% inclusive of a 7% African American owned business and 11% Women-owned business sub goals.
We note that it is imperative that all bids be received by the bid due date indicated above to assure that your firm is considered and included in this solicitation. This is inclusive of all associated MBE forms. WE MUST HAVE YOUR MBE INFORMATION SUBMITTED WITH YOUR BID. Advising us you can achieve x% participation does not serve us any purpose unfortunately. We need all the details to execute the required forms for our bid submission.
Be sure to report the actual participation level when utilizing a Supplier/Wholesaler/Regular dealer as defined on page 10-11 of the MBE documentation section 00453. Only 60% is counted from a supplier. 100% is counted from a manufacturer. Also see Attachment B “MBE Participation Schedule”.
Prospective bidders are advised this project is subject to Maryland Prevailing Wage rates and regulations and Maryland Sales tax does apply.
